Established in 2016, Lavender&Black is a family run farm, essential oil distillery and studio located on beautiful Salt Spring Island. The owners - Awatief&Ben - grow a wide range of flowers and aromatic plants, including helichrysum, lavender, rosemary, sage, and many others. Together with sustainably gathered botanicals from the surrounding forest and seacoast, they have a rich palette of unique ingredients for their hand-made small batch products.

Their philosophy of producing healthy products begins with natural farming - focusing on soil health, mixed landscape planting, pollinator habitat, water conservation, and organic growing practices.  Harvested by hand and processed in small batches - including artisanal distilling - the botanical ingredients reflect the clean natural landscapes of the BC coast.   

Pure, simple, and effective ingredients are then formulated for high potency, and kept concentrated. This allows users to apply less and keeps packaging smaller - so the products are good for people, and tread lightly on the planet.
